With the elections now behind
us, TAO
–
The Independents is refocusing its efforts on a cause that is too
often ignored: official recognition of the arduous nature of childcare
workers’ work.
These professionals play a
fundamental role in children’s development and supporting families. Yet their
daily lives are marked by repeated physical exertion, awkward physical postures,
significant mental strain, and constant emotional stress. Faced with this
reality, TAO – The Independents is calling on the administration to take action.
We
propose a plan structured around four pillars:
1.
Official recognition of arduous work:
o
Registration of the childcare profession among the
recognized arduous professions.
o
Rigorous assessment of the job’s constraints: heavy
lifting, rigid schedules, psychological stress.
2.
Improvement of working conditions:
o
Increased staffing to reduce the workload.
o
Provision of appropriate ergonomic equipment.
o
Implementation of psychological support to prevent the
risk of burnout and depression.
3.
Salary enhancement
o
Awarding of specific bonuses related to arduous work.
o
More frequent reclassification.
4.
Training and awareness-raising:
o
Development of training focused on the prevention of
occupational risks.
o
Raising awareness among families and the
administration of the importance of this essential profession.
TAO thereby
affirms its wish to recognize the unwavering commitment of childcare workers
and to improve their daily lives. Our
TAO
is
taking action for childcare workers!
Following the good intentions
of certain unions during the elections, TAO is once again mobilizing to have
the arduous and demanding nature of the childcare worker profession
recognized.
🧸 An essential, but too often invisible, job:
💪 Physical effort
🧠Mental load
😓 Daily stress
👉 TAO is
asking the administration for:
✅ Official recognition of the arduous nature of this
profession
✅ Better working conditions
✅ Bonuses & application of Article 42.4 by analogy
✅ Training & awareness-raising
👶
For those who care for our children, it is time to act.
